Sarah Bell

Fundraising & Marketing Manager, @Heart (formerly Heart Children New Zealand), 2009-2010.

“Lincoln has a genuine passion for the not-for-profit sector and this is demonstrated in his quality of work. It was a real pleasure to employ someone who "walks the talk'' and shows great knowledge of his subject area.

Lincoln's quickly grasped the core objectives of Heart Children NZ and helped turn around a stagnant direct mail appeal into an engaging communication with our valued donors, which in turn increased the ROI.

His professional approach served us well with his great attention to detail and very flexible approach to accommodate our needs. Lincoln also works with great integrity and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his services to anyone else.”

Cyrille Koolhaas

Development Director, Amnesty International Aotearoa.

“I have hired Lincoln on a number of occasions and his work is consistently of good quality. Lincoln does his research diligently and his writing style is both engaging and effective. He is easy to work with and is able to deliver the same high quality on short notice. The last project Lincoln worked on took him only two days from brief to delivery and it was one of our most successful appeals in recent years.”

Melanie Louden

Editor, Suburban Newspapers Auckland.

“I first dealt with Lincoln when he worked for Habitat for Humanity and worked with him regularly in his PR and Comms Specialist role with Mercy Hospice. He is a passionate and genuine man with a heart for not-for-profit organisations.

He is honest, helpful and accommodating. Lincoln is a pleasure to deal with, he is professional, efficient, meets deadlines and is full of great ideas. He often presents us with plenty of options and then works with us to progress the right idea.

The research and effort he puts into news articles makes things really easy for us.”

Hadley Brown

Business Development Manager, Mercy Hospice Auckland.

“I recently worked with Lincoln on a month long Mercy Hospice retail 'Thank You to our Community' PR Campaign. Lincoln's PR knowledge, media contacts, and project skills have been in evidence throughout the campaign. His expertise has ensured we've been able to make the right calls around positioning our message and securing cost effective media coverage. He's been able to readily adapt in response to a decision to extend the campaign by another fortnight. In terms of working with Lincoln, he is insightful, positively persuasive, consultative, outcomes focussed, and flexible.”

David Lawson

Marketing & Fundraising Manager, Habitat for Humanity New Zealand, 2009-2013.

“I have worked with Lincoln worked at World Vision and, most recently, at Habitat for Humanity. His knack for coming up with ideas, broad fundraising knowledge, ability to meet deadlines and can-do approach made him a real asset to the team.

Lincoln was responsible for Direct Marketing and Communications initiatives at Habitat for Humanity. He introduced its first Annual Appeal which resulted in donations 65% ahead of goal.

When the Canterbury earthquakes struck, Lincoln conceptualised and worked with Husk Creative to create www.shelter.org.nz. This enabled Kiwis to offer temporary accommodation to earthquake-stricken families straight away (before volunteer rebuild work could begin months later).

Lincoln also helped conceptualise and develop a national children's building competition that has resulted in introducing thousands of Kiwis to the work of Habitat for Humanity. Both initiatives were recognised by Habitat for Humanity International.

Lincoln ‘walks the talk’ too. He took a team of 14 Kiwi volunteers to build two houses in Cambodia.

I have since employed his services in a freelance capacity and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.”
